Veronica longifolia - Organic perennial

Veronica longifolia, also known as 'lange ereprijs', is a deciduous perennial with an upright, clump-forming habit and narrow, slightly hairy, lanceolate grey-green leaves. Veronica longifolia flowers from June to August with attractive gentian blue terminal spikes. It prefers a sunny spot and requires a well-drained, moderately fertile, preferably somewhat calcareous soil. The plant is very hardy, fairly drought-tolerant and tolerant of sea wind and air pollution. The plant is not prone to pests. Veronica longifolia is suitable as a cut flower, dried flower, ground cover, coastal plant and also for the rock garden.
