Product description

Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Star of ibiza', often called Italian or Tuscan jasmine in Dutch, is an evergreen climber with a tall, sinuous, climbing habit. The leaves are dark green, oval to lanceolate, glossy and sometimes turn a beautiful deep red in winter. This star jasmine blooms from June to September with lots of strongly scented, star-shaped pink flowers in pendulous racemes. Trachelospermum jasminoides requires a sheltered position in full sun with a southern orientation and good winter protection. The plant requires well-drained humus-rich soil, is reasonably hardy, fairly tolerant of sea winds, tolerant of air pollution, has good disease resistance and produces striking, 20 cm long legumes in the autumn.
