Schizachyrium scoparium 'Ha Ha Tonka' has grey-blue fine hairy leaves with brown-red stems. In autumn, the Schizachyrium is unique in dew, which gives a beautiful effect on the hairy leaves. This small prairie grass flowers with brown to silver-coloured panicles and requires nutrient-rich, well-drained but rather dry soil. In terms of location, it prefers full sun, although semi-shadow is certainly possible.
