"Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm', also known as sunhat, is a striking deciduous perennial with a tussock-like growth form and oblong to elliptical, toothed leaves in a deep green colour. From August to October, this sunflower blooms profusely with deep golden yellow flowers bearing a deep brown eye, carried by upright flower stalks. For optimum growth, Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm' prefers a sunny to semi-shaded position and thrives in well-drained soil of medium fertility. This plant is extremely hardy, shows reasonable drought resistance and thrives in coastal and urban environments. In the process, it attracts numerous butterflies, bees and other valuable insects."
