Rhododendron 'cunningham's white' is a very popular, medium-sized, evergreen rhododendron with a broadly upright, densely branched form. The leaves are long, oval, lightly glossy and dark green. This caucasicum hybrid flowers mainly from May to June, with funnel-shaped, white flowers with light purple and brown spots in the throat, grouped in clusters of 7 to 8 flowers. This crowd favourite likes a position in filtered sunlight or half-shadow, sheltered from inclement winds and with a shaded root zone, but it can also take some full sun. This rhododendron requires an acidic, moist, well-drained soil that never dries out completely. It requires little pruning and is very hardy.
