Product description

Pedunculate oak, scientifically known as Quercus robur, is a native oak tree known for its robust growth. This majestic tree can reach a height of up to 30 metres and an impressive width of 25 metres. In its youth, the pedunculate oak has a pyramidal shape, but over time it develops a more oval and jagged crown, and old specimens even acquire almost a round crown.

The leaves of the pedunculate oak are olive green to dark green, spring-shaped lobed and have a short stem. They range in size from 5 to 14 centimetres. In autumn, the tree transforms into a warm shade of yellow-brown, although the autumn colouration is not particularly striking.

Pedunculate oak is a wonderful choice as a solitary tree in gardens, as an avenue tree along roads, as an addition to park landscapes, or as a shady addition in large gardens. What makes this oak extra special is its ability to thrive in a variety of soil types. Moreover, the pedunculate oak is resistant to sea winds and suffers little from the damaging effects of road salt, making it a versatile and strong addition to a variety of landscapes.
