Prunus avium Bigarreau Burlat is a delicious cherry with a deep red colour, sweet flesh and excellent flavour. The fruit can be picked from may onwards and is often used in various culinary applications and desserts. A notable feature of this tree is that it grows quickly in the first few years after planting and produces an abundant amount of fruit, but it is advisable to plant a pollinator partner to ensure maximum harvest. Good choices as pollinators include Prunus Early Rivers and Regina.

Moreover, like most cherry trees, the Burlat has a beautiful autumn colour. Its leaves take on a beautiful red-orange hue during this period, making it a sight to behold!
