Product description

Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Speciosa' is a tall, deciduous knotweed or adderwort. The leaves are up to 15 cm long, elliptical to lanceolate, medium to dark green. Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Speciosa' flowers from the end of July until deep in October, with elegant, dark red flower spikes. This Persicaria amplexicaulis prefers a position in full sun or semi-shade, is ph-flexible, drought-tolerant, but grows fastest in well-drained, moist soil. This mountain plant does well as a border plant, coastal plant and in the semi-shade garden. The plant is very hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts many butterflies, bees and other insects and has little or no problems with diseases and pests.
