Product description

Miscanthus sinensis "Gracillimus", usually called splendour, is one of the most cultivated miscanthus species. This deciduous splendour has a bushy, ascending shape with very narrow linear middle green leaves with a white middle stripe, which turn straw-coloured in autumn. Miscanthus sinensis "Gracillimus" blooms (sporadically)from August to October with copper-colored flower plumes, which become silver-white later in the season as the seed ripens. This beautiful cane likes a sunny pitch and a well-permeable, slightly moist, medium fertile soil. Miscanthus sinensis "Gracillimus" is well hardy and once established also drought tolerant. He tolerates air pollution and sea breezes.
