Hydrangea paniculata 'limelight® , is a rough and wide upright panicle hydrangea. This popular panicle hydrangea blooms from July to September with splendid lime-coloured flower panicles that later turn greenish white to white-pink. The leaves are narrow ovoid, dark green, serrated and grey-green underneath. This panicle hydrangea prefers a position in full sun or filtered sunlight. It blooms on annual wood and can be pruned back firmly in early spring to maintain a bushy shape. It prefers slightly acidic, moist soil, is very hardy and attracts butterflies and bees. It is also decorative in autumn and can be planted along the coast, as it is tolerant to sea wind.
