Delosperma cooperi, syn. Mesembryanthemum cooperi, is a small evergreen perennial or succulent with a bushy, ground-covering form and narrow, fleshy, glandular, grey-green leaves. The plant flowers from May to July with abundant pink to magenta-coloured daisy-like flowers. Delosperma cooperi prefers a position in full sun or half-shadow and a slightly acidic to neutral, permeable, lime-free, stony soil. The plant is reasonably hardy, very drought tolerant, reasonably resistant to salt and sea winds, has good disease resistance and is tolerant to air pollution.
