Cardamine pratensis - Organic perennial

Cardamine pratensis is an evergreen perennial plant with a clump forming, columnar upright habit. The green rosette leaves are oval and pinnate, the stem leaves are narrow and sometimes toothed. The cuckoo flower blooms from April to June with small white-pink to lilac-pink flowers grouped in short open racemes. It prefers a position in filtered sunlight or half-shadow, prefers moist soil and looks good in rock gardens and along water borders or forest edges. Cardamine pratensis is hardy, tolerant to sea winds and air pollution, has a good disease resistance but is sometimes plagued by beetles and aphids.
