Product description

Of the akelei there are about 120 different species that all have three lobe, blue-green leaves and a beautiful striking bloom. They are solid, herbaceous plants that are hardy.

The akelei has bell-shaped, hanging flowers that stand on thin stems. The flowers consist of different colors that make for a beautiful color palette during flowering. The species all bloom from April to July. 

Planting or sowing the akelei is best done in late autumn and early spring. The plant blooms best in a place in full sun, but also tolerates semi-shade. He prefers a well-permeable soil and is an easy plant that also spreads itself. The soil must remain moist so in dry weather the plant should be given enough water.

23-03-2022 16:06 De Akeleien waren zorgvuldig verpakt en ze kwamen voldoende vochtig bij mij aan. Na 1 nacht in de schuur ( nachtvorst) heb ik ze uitgeplant. Ze staan er nu mooi bij en het zijn al aardig volle planten, Complimenten! Met vriendelijke groeten, Dick.
