Product description

Acaena microphylla "Kupferteppich", also called porcupine or copper carpet is a evergreen perennial with a soil-covering, creeping shape. This plant has small elongated compound leaves, reddish brown colored and with a sawn leaf edge. The white inflorescence is unobtrusive but the reddish brown fruits that follow are particularly decorative. Acaena likes a pitch in full sun or semi-shade and prefers a lime-rich to neutral well-permeable soil. This plant is well hardy, requires little maintenance, is sea wind tolerant and is usually used as a ground cover or as a plant for the rock garden.
