Bolivian coriander (papalo)

This bushy annual plant from South America is valued for its aromatic leaves with a strong, coriander-like flavor. The leaves are commonly used as a culinary herb. The plant can grow up to 1.5 meters tall and 60 cm wide, producing yellow flowers.

Sowing

Sow in March at a temperature of around 20°C. Transplant seedlings first at 5 cm, then again at 10 cm. After the last frost, plant out at 60 × 60 cm spacing in warm soil.
Prefers a sunny location and can be grown in open ground or in a greenhouse. Thrives best in light, well-drained soil.

Care and diseases

This plant is not very susceptible to pests and diseases and is easy to maintain.

Harvest

Harvest from August to October.
