Tulipa 'Ballerina' - organic flower bulb

Tulipa ‘Ballerina’ is an elegant lily-flowered tulip that immediately catches the eye in spring with its graceful, pointed petals and warm orange colour. The flowers open into a beautiful star-like shape, giving this tulip a particularly refined appearance.

Growing to approximately 50–55 cm tall, ‘Ballerina’ produces strong, slender flower stems. This makes it an excellent choice for borders, as well as a wonderful cut flower for colourful spring bouquets.

🌷 A real eye-catcher in the spring garden

The flowering period is generally April to May, bringing vibrant colour to the garden in spring. The bright orange flowers combine beautifully with other spring-flowering plants and look particularly impressive when planted in groups.

Plant ‘Ballerina’ among perennials, ornamental grasses or other flower bulbs for a natural and lively effect. Its characteristic lily-flowered shape also makes it beautiful to combine with tulips in contrasting colours.

🌱 Planting advice

Plant the bulbs in autumn, preferably from September to December, as long as the soil is not frozen. Choose a sunny to lightly shaded position with well-drained soil that does not remain excessively wet.

Plant the bulbs approximately 10–12 cm deep, with a spacing of around 10 cm. For a fuller effect, plant several bulbs together.
