Sowing and Transplanting

• Sow seeds from mid-February to late March–early April at 20–24°C

• Keep seeds warm, moist, and lighted

• Transplant seedlings with 2–4 leaves into pots at 15–20°C

• Plant 50 x 80 cm apart outdoors after April 15 or under glass

• For indeterminate varieties: prune shoots from leaf axils for higher fruit quality

• For determinate varieties: no pruning, use mulch and support

• Bury most of the stem when planting for strong root development
