The Black Zebra tomato is a unique variety producing purple fruits with green and golden stripes. The flesh is juicy and tangy, without acidity. This mid-season, indeterminate tomato is perfect for open ground or greenhouse cultivation.

Growing Tips for Black Zebra Tomatoes

Sowing and Transplanting

  • Sow from mid-February to late March–early April at 20–24°C

  • Keep seeds warm, moist, and lighted

  • Transplant seedlings with 2–4 leaves into pots at 15–20°C

  • Plant 50 x 80 cm apart outdoors after April 15 or under glass

Maintenance and Disease Prevention

  • Bury most of the stem when planting for strong root development

  • Requires warmth and potassium-rich organic nutrients

  • Light pruning in northern regions

  • Water regularly without wetting foliage

  • Preventive sprays: nettle tea, horsetail decoction, or powdered seaweed
