Prolifique de Falisolle Tomato

The Prolifique de Falisolle is an old Walloon tomato variety known for its exceptional productivity and vigorous growth.

It produces smooth, elongated red fruits of medium size (around 100 g) with a small nipple-shaped tip. This is a very strong and disease-resistant plant that can reach up to 2 meters in height.

This very early, indeterminate variety continues producing until the first frost and is ideal for open-field cultivation.

Sowing and Transplanting

• Sow at minimum 20°C (ideally 24°C) from mid-February to late March/early April

• 6–8 weeks before transplanting

• Transplant at 2–4 leaves (15–20°C)

• Plant 50 x 80 cm apart

• After April 15 under glass or after last frost outdoors

Growing and Maintenance

• Bury most of the stem to promote strong root development

• Requires warmth and potassium-rich organic fertilizer

• Light pruning in northern regions

• Water regularly without wetting foliage

• Preventive treatment with nettle manure, horsetail decoction, or seaweed powder

• Remove side shoots for indeterminate varieties

Harvest

Harvest about 2 months after planting. The plant continues producing until the first frost.
