Peper Bishop crown

Late pepper variety with strong growth (~1 m) and high yield (30–50 fruits per plant). The fruits have a unique bishop’s crown shape, turn red when ripe, with a surprising flavor contrast: sweet and mild flesh, very spicy seeds and core.

Growing Tips for Bishop Crown Pepper

Sowing:

• Sow indoors in February-March at 23–24°C.

• Keep warm, humid environment with sufficient light.

• Transplant seedlings at 3–4 true leaves into pots, then outdoors after the last frost.

Cultivation:

• Well-drained, fertile soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure.

• Maintain regular moisture, avoid prolonged drought.

• Prune main stem and side shoots to concentrate energy on fruit.

• Support tall plants and feed with organic fertilizer or nettle extract (PurMel 3).

Disease Prevention:

• Prevent powdery mildew with crop rotation, spacing, and good airflow.

• Foliar sprays with horsetail or seaweed powder strengthen plants.

Harvest:

• July–October, 5–6 months after sowing.

• Green fruits can be harvested early; fully ripe fruits are red and spicy.
