Dahlia ‘Vancouver’ (organic flower bulb)

The large-flowered, dinnerplate dahlia ‘Vancouver’ is a spectacular summer bloomer that provides months of colour and elegance in the garden. It flowers abundantly from July until the first frost and grows to around 70 cm tall. Its impressive, decorative blooms make it a true focal point in borders.

Dahlia ‘Vancouver’ is organically grown and combines beautifully with perennials and other dahlia varieties. Thanks to its sturdy stems and large flowers, it is also an excellent cut flower with a long vase life.

Plant the tubers in spring, after the risk of frost has passed. Dig a generous planting hole, loosen the soil well and enrich it with good-quality potting soil. Place the tubers carefully in the hole and cover them with 3–5 cm of soil. Keep a planting distance of 30–60 cm. Water immediately after planting.

Dahlias perform best in a sunny position. As they are sensitive to frost, it is recommended to lift the tubers after flowering and store them frost-free. This way, you can enjoy them for many years.

When used as cut flowers, harvest the stems early in the morning and place them directly in lukewarm water with flower food.
