Product description

Puschkinia libanotica – Organic Flower Bulb

Puschkinia libanotica is a small but exceptionally elegant bulb that brings a fresh, natural look to the garden in early spring. Its light blue to almost white, star-shaped flowers appear in March and April, with a subtle dark blue stripe running along the petals. The flowers are held in compact clusters above the narrow, grass-like foliage.

Growing to approximately 15 cm tall, Puschkinia libanotica is ideal for the front of borders, among perennials, beneath shrubs and trees or in rock gardens. This delicate spring flower also looks beautiful in pots and containers.

Puschkinia libanotica is very suitable for naturalising. Leave the organic bulbs in the ground after planting and enjoy the delicate flowers every spring. Under suitable conditions, the bulbs can gradually multiply, creating a beautiful natural-looking group over time.

This organic Puschkinia combines beautifully with other early-flowering bulbs such as Narcissus, Crocus, Chionodoxa and Scilla. Together they create a colourful and natural spring display. The flowers are also valuable to early-active pollinators.

Plant the bulbs in autumn, preferably between September and December, in a sunny to partially shaded position with well-drained soil. Plant the bulbs approximately 5–8 cm deep and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering. This allows the bulb to store sufficient energy for the following spring.

Puschkinia libanotica is an excellent choice for a natural and biodiverse garden. This organic flower bulb combines a delicate appearance with excellent suitability for naturalising and brings colour and life to the garden early in the year.
